Construction Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in overseeing the construction department, ensuring projects are completed on time and to high standards. This role includes leading and training personnel such as Site Managers and MEP Team Leaders, and reporting on progress and quality directly to the Vice General Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Manage: Oversee the construction department at HUYNCHI, directing, training, and managing all activities of construction personnel, including Site Managers, MEP Team Leaders, and Site Supervisors.
  • Ensure Progress and Quality: Take primary responsibility for the progress and quality of interior design and build projects, ensuring they meet customer and departmental standards.
  • Reporting: Report project progess to Vice General Director.
  • Support Process Completion: Assist in the development and completion of the construction process system.
  • Establish Standards: Develop and implement HUYNCHI’s construction standards for interior design and build projects.
  • Set Goals and Ensure Quality: Set project goals and ensure high-quality completion, aiming for 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Build Stable Team: Recruit, train, and maintain a stable and efficient team for the construction department.
  • Ensure Timely Completion: Ensure all interior design and build projects are completed on schedule.

Specific Tasks

  • Construction/Installation Management:
    • Control the planning of office interior construction projects in terms of construction methods, labor safety measures, security, health and environmental hygiene, construction progress, and material supply progress.
    • Survey labor costs, construction machinery, propose and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors.
    • Implement and improve the project management system, construction projects in terms of progress, volume, technical, quality, information (documents, records), human resources, labor safety, environmental hygiene, risks, and complaints.
    • Control the implementation of all projects undertaken by HUYNCHI.
    • Propose the organizational structure of the construction department.
    • Periodically report on all interior construction projects through monitoring, inspection, and evaluation.
    • Handle arising issues and construction activities at the site beyond the capacity and authority of the Construction Managers within the authorized scope.
  • Acceptance and Completion Management:
    • Control the planning, implementation, and control of the preparation of documents and records for acceptance activities with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors of the projects.
    • Be responsible for the acceptance of volume and quality with subcontractors, internal suppliers, and customers for settlement with suppliers and customers.
    • Support the Board of Directors in controlling construction costs and estimating volumes.
    • Plan, implement, and control the acceptance and handover of projects on schedule.
  • Other Management Tasks:
    • Participate with the Board of Directors and proactively set goals for the Construction Department.

Qualifications

Education/Certification Requirements

  • Graduated from a regular university majoring in construction engineering from universities such as Architecture, Construction, Open University, Transport.

Experience/Knowledge Requirements

  • Experience working in the construction and execution industry.
  • Proficient in English: all four skills.

Skills/Abilities Requirements

    • Understanding of construction, structure – proficient in AutoCAD software, good at reading drawings.
    • Customer-oriented, enthusiastic, able to handle high pressure.
    • Proactive and creative.
    • Ability to work independently or in teams.
